New reporting just blew the lid on a secret conference call between dark-money groups and a top adviser to Mitch McConnell:

The New Yorker: “The speakers on the call expressed alarm at the broad popularity of [the For the People Act’s] provision calling for more public disclosure about secret political donors...a senior Koch operative said that opponents would be better off ignoring the will of American voters and trying to kill the bill in Congress.”

Republicans are admitting in private that their disinformation campaigns against HR 1 are failing.

No matter what fear tactics they try, voters across all parties overwhelmingly support the historic democracy reforms to get big money out of our elections and give the power back to the people.

When Republicans know they can’t win, they try and cheat. We can’t let Mitch’s behind-the-scenes pressure campaign get in the way of this critical legislation -- we still need 1,260 more supporters to help us reach our goal to collect 3,000 signatures demanding the passage of the For the People Act!
