“Dianne Morales, a former nonprofit executive, has undeniably captured real grass-roots energy.” -The New York Times, April 10
Dear ,
As the New York Times debates how progressives are going to land in this race, they did get one thing right: THIS is the true grassroots mayoral campaign. Dianne has the largest number of donations from New Yorkers AND the lowest average donation amount, as New Yorkers rise up and say they’re done with the status quo. The good news is that organizers are finally coalescing around the future we deserve! They know that to break through other candidates’ super PACs and the exhaustion of politics as usual — especially after the past year — and to reach everyday New Yorkers, we need people power.
And that’s exactly what we have, from Dianne’s incredible supporters to the amazing volunteers who work every day to reach more New Yorkers about Dianne’s vision for a NYC where everyone lives in dignity. We won’t let anyone tell us Dianne isn’t a viable candidate, because viability doesn’t depend on who gets the most media coverage — it’s about who can inspire New Yorkers to turn out to fight for the future of our city and our people.
We won’t let anyone who hasn’t fought for us tell us Dianne isn’t a viable candidate. She’s here because we keep proving the chattering class wrong, and we’ll keep doing so with your help. Donate $21 today and help us show New Yorkers that we CAN choose our future — together. In solidarity,
