Republicans have spent the last year pushing a dangerous and hateful anti-Asian narrative -- and we've seen the impact it's had in attack after attack on AAPI communities.
But even after a gunman launched a hate-driven shooting that left 6 Asian women and 2 others dead in Atlanta, Republicans are not letting up. Just look at what former Governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee had to say on Twitter when the MLB chose to protest Georgia voter suppression:
There cannot be a place for this kind of hateful and sloppy rhetoric in our politics. It has caused too much pain and violence. And if Republicans refuse to stand up for their AAPI constituents, we will vote them out.
We're working around the clock to replace Republicans in Congress who continue to contribute to racist narratives with diverse progressive leaders who will right the wrongs Republicans have created. The GOP has ignored our struggle at best and mocked it at worst. We deserve leaders who understand our pain and fight for us instead of ignoring us.
