Bad news, friend.
Republicans in statehouses across the country are using their power to pass unprecedented restrictions on voting rights. And their base is fired up.
The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), which is dedicated to electing Republicans at the state level across the country, has been fundraising off of their new Jim Crow-era voting restrictions. And it's working.
The RSLC just reported a record-breaking $4.2 million in fundraising from January-March of this year. Clearly, their base is ready to put everything they've got into suppressing the vote so Republicans can get away with rigging elections in their favor.
Friend, this is bad. If we want to stop Republicans from turning back the clock on voting rights, we've got to make sure we can beat them at the ballot box in 2022. But right now, their base is engaged and willing to chip in whatever it takes. Meanwhile, we're falling short on our fundraising goals.
