Fellow Colorado Republicans-
It has been a busy week here in Colorado. I want to thank all the parents, citizens, radio hosts, and legislators that stepped up and helped defeat SB- 182
([link removed]) . At least for this year, our children will not have to be targeted by crime
at school.
Unfortunately, we have more bad Democrat legislation coming up that we also must fight back against. The Democrats are pushing a public option bill ([link removed]) that would completely rewrite our healthcare system, cost thousands of Coloradans their jobs, and raise patient costs to unmanageable levels.
The Biden Administration is continuing their crusade to raise taxes on small businesses ([link removed]) , pack the Supreme Court ([link removed]) with far-left judges, and erode the second amendment (COGOP Statement on President Biden’s Executive Actions on Guns) by executive orders. I hope you all will continue to call your legislators in D.C. and in Colorado and push back against these costly and extreme efforts.

The Center Square: ([link removed]) Colorado’s third attempt to pass a public health care option ([link removed]) could prove harmful for the state’s economy, according to a new report.
The report ([link removed]) , by the free enterprise think tank Common Sense Institute (CSI), found that the plan could result in up to $1 billion less in payments to doctors, nurses, hospitals and other health care providers. As a result, between 3,900 to 4,900 health care jobs could be lost, the report estimated, including employment for doctors, nurses, and patient care professionals.

** Biden's tax hikes will hit small businesses

Washington Times: ([link removed]) In sum, Mr. Biden ([link removed]) ‘s full tax plan — not just the tip of the iceberg he announced on Wednesday — would suck hundreds of billions of dollars from Main Street to Washington, D.C.
Mr.
Biden ([link removed]) wants to nationalize these small business earnings to pay for “infrastructure” spending, which includes further socializing American health care, child care, and higher education. His team has reportedly been studying the economic record of former President Franklin D. Roosevelt, whose big government micromanagement of the economy under the New Deal prolonged the Great Depression.

Fort Morgan Times ([link removed]) : Republicans will take a more active role to define themselves and their party and do the work to flip seats at all levels of government, Kristi Burton Brown said Saturday, a week after being elected as the Colorado Republican chair for a term of 2021-2023.
“I look forward to the two years ahead,” she said in her first video address emailed to statewide Republicans. “We’re hitting the ground running, and with you we can create a successful team to take back Colorado in 2021 and 2022.”
