After Democrats turned Georgia BLUE for the first time in decades, Gov. Kemp signed a sweeping bill into law designed to lock voters out of the democratic process with devastating new voting restrictions!

Team – this is terrifying.

In a recent op-ed, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp falsely claimed that the NINETY-EIGHT PAGE voter suppression law he just signed actually expands voting rights. And he claimed that President Biden, Stacey Abrams, and voting rights activists criticizing the bill for its Jim Crow era restrictions clearly haven’t read it.

Well, we did. Here’s what it does:


❌ Cuts the availability of ballot drop boxes.
❌ Slashes the window to request and return absentee ballots and adds an ID requirement.
❌ Criminalizes giving food or water to people waiting in GA’s notoriously long voting lines.
❌ Takes power away from the state election board and puts it into the hands of the far-right Republican legislature.
❌ Cuts the runoff election period by more than half – a huge factor in Sens. Warnock and Ossoff’s victories!
It’s no surprise – Brian Kemp has a well-documented history of abusing his own power to make it harder to vote. Now, he’s made Georgia the first presidential battleground to impose new voting restrictions following President Joe Biden's victory.He’s clearly terrified about the prospect of running against Stacey Abrams in 2022.
