Hey John,

Nearly a week ago, I announced my run to be the next U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania.

Since then, I’ve heard from so many of you who are ready to cut through the noise and finally get things done in Washington — from expanding access to quality health care to taking on the climate crisis. I’m right there with you.

But the kind of results we’re looking for depend on us establishing a strong campaign that brings together folks from every walk of life.

Can I count on you to chip in whatever you’re able to become a Founding Donor before our campaign’s first week comes to a close at midnight tomorrow? [link removed]

Sure, so many say we can’t get past the political gridlock to make real progress. But as a doctor and public health advocate, I was there at the table when lawmakers and advocates came together to help pass the Affordable Care Act and secure health care for 23 million Americans.

It’s not a question of whether lasting change is possible — it’s a question of whether we’re willing to put in the work to fight for it. So I’m asking before the first week of our campaign ends:

Please chip in any amount you can before midnight tomorrow to become a Founding Donor and help establish a strong grassroots campaign for progress.

Thank you. Together, we can learn from these past few difficult years to build a better future.
