We messaged you earlier this week about Georgia's blatant voter suppression law that passed last month, and it's not just happening in Georgia.

As of March 24, 361 bills to restrict voting rights have been introduced in 47 states.

This is a new wave of voter suppression that is directly targeting Black voters. But, if the Senate passes the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, we can stop these archaic bills and put the teeth back in the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

We still need [726] signatures from District of Columbia to reach our petition goal tonight at midnight. Will you make your voice heard? Sign our petition before tonight's deadline to demand the Senate pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

Subject: We're sounding the alarm: PASS the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to defend the vote!

"Yes, the Georgia election law is that bad"

Here's why the recently passed Georgia voter suppression law is THAT bad, friend:

Known as SB 202, it criminalizes giving voters food and water while they wait in line, expands voter ID requirements, and sharply limits the use of ballot drop boxes. It's clear this is Republicans' shameless attempt to rig the system completely and rob the voting power of countless Black voters in the process.

We're taking a stand against Georgia's voter suppression law to make sure every single Black voter can cast their ballot without fear and without facing roadblocks that date back to the Jim Crow era of voter suppression.

We need to gather [1,050] signatures from your state to reach our petition goal of 45,000 by Saturday at midnight. Will you sign our petition now calling on the Senate to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to put a stop to racist voter suppression laws in Georgia and anywhere else?
