While we’ve missed seeing all of you in person this weekend, the record-breaking number of Canadians attending this convention is an incredible milestone in our work together to keep Canada moving forward.
This speaks to our fast-growing movement of support from coast to coast to coast, as we continue doing everything it takes to deliver support for Canadians and continue building a stronger and more resilient Canada.
These past two days have been jam-packed with special keynote panels and speakers, virtual policy discussions, innovative campaign training, and much more. It’s been so inspiring to hear from members of our Liberal team as well special guests like Ben Rhodes, Laure Waridel, Ken Dryden, and Mark Carney. We’re excited for what tomorrow brings!

Thursday marked the kick-off our of 2021 Liberal National Convention where we heard from our four Convention Co-Chairs, LPC President Suzanne Cowan, Ahmed Hussen on supporting Canadians, Steven Guilbeault on shaping our future for the better, and a conversation between Chrystia Freeland and Ken Dryden on building a better, stronger and, and more resilient Canada.
Tonight, we heard from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau on the work that you make possible, and the progress that Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are making for families, our kids and grandkids, for a clean environment, and generations to come.

Ben Rhodes and Marc Garneau hosted a riveting conversation on progressive leadership in the world today and after COVID-19, and how like-minded democracies can work together to protect human rights and build a better future.
Laure Waridel & Steven Guilbeault highlighted the need for urgent action to protect a clean environment, and how you can’t have a plan for the economy if you don’t have a plan to fight climate change.
Mark Carney and Marci Ien had an inspiring conversation focused on the need for a focus on human values as we work to grow an economy that works for everyone, fight climate change, and build a better world for all.
FRIDAY RECAP
The hard work never stops, friend, and we’re continuing to lay the foundation for moving Canada forward.
Today, Liberals from all across Canada came together in the morning for meetings and discussions led by the Liberal Party commissions, which always help bring diversity and vitality to the Party to keep us moving forward.
#Lib2021 Convention-goers also had the chance to share ideas in a series of policy workshops, as well as Organizing & Readiness workshops such as Safe and Inclusive Campaigns, Fundraising Success, Preparing your team for Victory, and more!
Throughout the day, featured panelists had the opportunity to discuss the work that we’re doing to build a stronger and more resilient Canada. Some topics included Ending racism and building an equal future, Building a better future for Rural Canadians, and Protecting Canadians’ Health, to name a few.
