The bill Salon is talking about was just defeated by a grassroots pressure campaign, but this is a pattern we've seen over and over, John. Every time Democrats win at the ballot box, Republicans try to change the rules so it never happens again.

They're doing it with voter suppression -- 361 bills in 47 states. And now they're doing it with judicial gerrymandering. Texas is just the latest example; they've also tried this in states like Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Look, if you're getting sick of hearing about all the different ways the GOP is trying to cheat -- I hear you. I'm getting sick of it, too! But we can't stop fighting, ever. Because then they'll win, and we may never be able to get our democracy back.
