** The Louisiana Legislature is ramping up for a tough legislative session, but the Orleans Delegation has your back.

In a session likely marked by regressive changes to income taxes, sales taxes, corporate taxes, and severance taxes, New Orleans’ team is fighting for fairness and opportunity.

Thank your member of the Louisiana Legislature for all they’re doing for women, including support for HB 7 (the pink tax!) to exempt diapers and feminine hygiene products from sales taxes; HB 215 to increase workplace protections for pregnant women and new mothers; and HB 322 to improve access to child nutrition.

The Orleans Delegation is also highlighting economic opportunity and recovery, including HB 282 to end housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity; SB 173 to support the growing film industry; and HB 183 to improve pandemic unemployment claims.
