The facts are staggering, John.
Every year, an estimated more than 725,000 Americans experience sexual violence. More than 1 in 3 American women will experience sexual violence with physical contact.  1 in 3 female rape survivors are assaulted for the first time when they are between 11 and 17 years old. 1 in 8 female rape survivors are assaulted before the age of 10. John, our government must do everything possible to protect women, girls, and all survivors of sexual assault. That’s why we need the Senate to follow the House’s example and finally reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act.
