By passing the American Rescue Plan, we put money directly in working families’ pockets by dramatically expanding the Earned Income and the Child tax credits. 

These are two of the most effective tools we have to make hard work pay off and help families keep up with the cost of living. This expansion will benefit the vast majority of Ohio families and cut child poverty in half.

But there’s a catch: Through the American Rescue Plan, the EITC and CTC expansions are only good for a year.
