WE ACT Supports Federal Energy Efficiency Bill
You may be familiar with the Energy Efficiency Equity & Jobs Act ([link removed]) we are helping advance through the New York State legislature, but you should also know that our Federal Policy Office is working with Congressmember Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY), who recently introduced H.R. 1993, the Energy Efficient Public Buildings Act. It will establish a $4 billion Department of Energy grant program to help public buildings reduce energy consumption through upgrades and retrofits. Not only will this reduce emissions that contribute to climate change, but it will also create thousands of jobs. Learn More ([link removed])
