re: the USPS

“New USPS plan will include longer mail delivery times, cuts to post office hours”
- WDEL News

Recently, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy -- a political ally and mega-donor to former President Trump -- released his 10-year plan for the Postal Service, and I have to tell you, it’s deeply concerning to me.

DeJoy’s plan would limit Post Office hours and lengthen mail delivery turnaround. At the same time, the plan makes no mention of how the USPS intends to vaccinate postal workers who are putting their health on the line day in and day out in the middle of the pandemic.

The USPS reaches every household in our country. All Americans rely on this bedrock institution -- especially seniors, small businesses, veterans, and rural communities.

I’m working in Congress to restore USPS leadership and mail services, but I need a surge of grassroots support to amplify my efforts. Please add your name today.

I’ve heard from a number of Delawareans about their personal experiences with mail delays. These delays can have real and harmful consequences, from missed bills to missing prescriptions.

President Biden has nominated new members for the USPS Board of Governors who can restore leadership at the Postal Service and begin to return the organization to its normal standard of services.

I’m committed to working with my colleagues to confirm President Biden’s nominees, but we need grassroots supporters like you to join our call for new USPS leadership and to save the Postal Service from DeJoy’s dangerous agenda. Add your name today.

Thank you for taking action today,

TC
