Abortion companies are spitting in Kenya’s face, and in the face of every pro-lifer.

And when we exposed their illegal actions, they slapped us with a lawsuit.

In 2018, the brave CitizenGO Kenyan campaigner Ann Kioko started a petition calling for an investigation into Marie Stopes, an international company running abortion clinics in different parts of the world, for advertising abortion-on-demand services under the cover of “prenatal care” in Kenya, which is forbidden by Kenyan law.

When we performed our own investigation, we learned their disregard for the laws of Kenya and the lives of unborn children went much deeper than that.

If a pregnant woman called their clinics, staff immediately pushed her to get an abortion. Actually providing prenatal care was clearly the furthest thing from their minds.

Due to our inquiry, the government sent police to investigate a Marie Stopes clinic, where they found underage girls lined up for abortifacient injections -- yet another blatantly illegal act.

The medical board justly suspended Marie Stopes’ abortion activities in Kenya, characterizing their social media advertisements as “erroneous and misleading,” noting that their deceitful messages were targeted toward minors.

But instead of stopping their illegal actions, Marie Stopes is flouting the law and started a legal procedure to try to shut Ann up and prevent her from even mentioning their name in any public forum.

That’s why I hope you’ll support Ann by signing this petition to the Kenyan Ministry of Health, encouraging them to stand strong in their censure of Marie Stopes, and any other abortion provider flaunting the law and killing unborn children.

Your signed petition will be a great encouragement to Ann in this time of trouble. The lawsuit Marie Stopes has brought against her, as well as other pro-lifers in Kenya, demands we be censured for our petition against them, and that the courts throw out our petition.

If we can’t defeat this legal ploy and impose real consequences on Marie Stopes for their criminal actions, these international abortion giants will be emboldened to press the attack all over the world.

The first hearing on their lawsuit is scheduled for April 13th, and we hope Ann will have secured the support of the Ministry of Health for the fight ahead by then.

You see, the Ministry of Health called Marie Stopes’ Chairman before a medical board for a formal inquiry, and his response was appalling.

“He admitted they offer abortions to children without parental guidance… he actually said a desire to have an abortion is enough of an indicator [to provide it].

This angered the chairperson of the medical practitioners’ board… he asked him, ‘Where is the law of Kenya? Do you ever consider Kenyan law?’”[i] 

Marie Stopes has broken the law, but they have yet to pay for it -- the Ministry of Health has only put a temporary ban on their abortion “services.” But if we do not press the attack, they will use legal trickery to avoid punishment.

That’s why it’s so important that Ann and all of Kenya are able to rely on your support against the abortionists that seek to erode the country’s pro-life culture.

Your petition is vital to help Ann secure that support.

Sadly, we know that Marie Stopes is not the only abortion giant with its sights fixed on less wealthy countries.

You see, the abortionists hate countries like Kenya -- which they arrogantly call “backward” -- because we refuse to adopt their soulless abortion ideology.

Now that the abuses of Marie Stopes have come to light, it is time for the Ministry of Health to investigate more deeply the practices of other abortion providers and ensure they are following the law.
