The end date is unknown but program administrators estimate that they will stop accepting applications within 30 days. There is currently no plan to renew funding for this program. So if you would like to receive this "early adopter" incentive, NOW is the time to purchase or lease your EV and apply for your rebate. Note: the typical rebate for a 100% electric vehicle is $2000, or $4500 for income-qualifying applicants. See website for eligibility requirements. Rebate tip: New California Clean Fuel Reward The California Air Resources Board and local utilities recently launched a new rebate: California residents can now receive up to $1500 off the purchase or lease of any new EV with a battery capacity greater than 5 kWh. This instant rebate is provided at the point-of-sale by participating dealers. Reward amount is based on battery size (100% electric vehicles receive the full reward, some plug-in hybrids receive lower amounts). Charging Tip: Have a dryer in your garage?
