Here’s the problem: Last month was the second highest month on record for firearms sales in American history. It was also a month engulfed by tragic mass shootings, where we lost precious lives that could have been saved by responsible legislation.

Here’s the solution: We need the Senate to act by passing universal background checks legislation into law. We are waiting on a vote any day now and we need to act quickly to make sure Senators know Americans want background checks passed now.

Last month, the House passed a bill that would require a background check before someone purchases a firearm. These background checks are an easy and effective way to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

We can’t let the Senate waste any more time. Every day that passes without background checks is another day where more lives are at stake. So before you close this email, we have to ask:

Will you make a donation to help us push the Senate to pass universal background checks? With guns being sold in record numbers, we can’t afford to waste another day.
