We want to again thank everyone in our community for raising your voices to support COVID-19 emergency funding for public transportation in the American Rescue Plan Act. Your voices helped win $30.5 billion in urgently needed emergency funding for public transit!
We need to keep looking ahead to a better future. Our nation will continue to grow, and our economy will regain its footing, but we need thriving public transportation systems supported by long-term federal investment.
Our nation’s current long-term transportation legislation—the FAST Act—expires later this year. Congress will also be considering major infrastructure legislation—and it’s critical that public transportation be front and center in this debate.
