We were both born and raised in Queens, and despite our different backgrounds, we know what it's like to scrimp and save just to scrape by. 

We both know what it means to be fighting for working families and for a future for Queens that works for everyone, not just the wealthy elite. 

And we know that leadership in Queens doesn't have to be bought or sold to the highest bidder or to big developers. Because we are two of those leaders.
