The GOP is revamping its attacks on Dr. Fauci. Lindsey Graham is telling our top infectious disease expert to “go visit the border.” Former Trump aide Peter Navarro claims Dr. Fauci is “a sociopath and a liar” who “had nothing to do with the vaccine.”
And none other than Donald Trump himself is accusing Dr. Fauci of being a “self-promoter.”
Dr. Fauci is used to Republicans scapegoating him for their own incompetence. He's made it clear that their “bizarre” comments don't bother him, because he's busy “trying to preserve the health and safety of the American people … I cannot be bothered with getting distracted with these people.”
But we know how Donald Trump and the GOP's attacks on Dr. Fauci have impacted how Americans approached the pandemic -- we're still facing the consequences of the GOP's war on science.
That's why today, we're proud to stand by the public health expert who is leading our country out of this pandemic -- no matter what the GOP throws at him. But Democrats need to be united on this issue -- and we need to hear from you:
