Cutting Down the Nets

Like many Hoosiers, I watched a lot of basketball the last few weeks. And, as the Baylor Bears cut down the nets in Indianapolis for a well-deserved national title, I was proud of how our state hosted the first large-scale, multi-day sporting event in the world since the pandemic began. More than just some basketball games and another move toward normalcy, hosting the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship tournament had a huge economic impact for Indiana.

I’ve also had the chance to get back on the road to visit with supporters, county officers, local elected officials and many others. Last week I was in Evansville and this week I spent a day in Lafayette. As things keep returning to normal, I’ll be staying on the road to touch base with as many of our grassroots supporters as I can. My team will reach out to set things as my travel days get scheduled and I’m looking forward to connecting with more and more Hoosier Republicans throughout the spring and summer.

While Indiana was safely hosting a major sporting event, Major League Baseball decided to cave to the lies of President Biden and other radical left activists and move their annual All Star Game from Atlanta to Denver. As they lie about state election laws, Democrats are using their temporary complete grip on national power in Washington to orchestrate a federal takeover of our state and local elections. As Republicans, we have to fight against these lies and always stand up for the security and integrity of our elections.

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was

Building One Indiana for All

Last week, Governor Holcomb signed the police reform bill ([link removed]) into law. This historic piece of legislation received overwhelming bipartisan support, support from Hoosier law enforcement officers and also checks another one of the Governor's agenda items off the list!

On Tuesday, Governor Holcomb visited the Gary mass vaccination clinic. This mass vaccination clinic has the capacity to administer 3,000 COVID-19 vaccines a day. Gary Mass Vaccination Clinic

Governor Holcomb and the Indiana State Department of Health are continuing to lead one of the most effective vaccine rollouts in the nation. On Wednesday, the Gary mass vaccination clinic officially opened. This mass vaccination clinic is the culmination of weeks of work and collaboration between state, local and federal partners. The clinic will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning April 7 through June 2.

Senator Todd Young was in Columbus this week to talk about his proposed Endless Frontiers Act. This act would spur the next generation of USA jobs and innovation enabling us to outcompete China on the world stage.
