Victory: Arkansas to Close Two Polluting Coal Plants
In a major victory for air quality and climate protection, Arkansas will close two coal plants that had increased their emissions without permits, violating the Clean Air Act. These plants rank sixth and twelfth in harmful sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions out of the hundreds of power plants across the U.S.
