While many people are planning a special Mother's Day this year, we are asking you to also show a mum in need that you care this May.

Sadly many mums are forced to choose food and bills over basic toiletries for themselves. This appeal is a wonderful opportunity to show another mum that they are loved and deserve the essentials that so many take for granted each day.

To Make a Mother's Day, there are a number of ways you can participate:

Make a financial donation [[link removed]]. $50 will support a mum who might be at risk of homelessness, affected by violence, family breakdown or living in poverty Book an appointment [[link removed]] and drop in a toiletry bag filled with new and unopened toiletries. Some ideas include a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and soap. A full list of everything you can include can be found here. [[link removed]] Make a donation in lieu of a Mother’s Day present [[link removed]] for your own mum or a special person in your life. We will email you a personalised certificate to give them. Organise a get together with your friends and family and fundraise or collect donations on the day. Please click here to register your interest [[link removed]].

Here is a beautiful message from a mum who felt overwhelmed with joy when she received her special gift a couple of years ago.

“I felt like someone loved me... like someone else out there was willing to give for another person to be happy. I've always wanted to buy myself a perfume but I’ve never had enough money. When I received my special gift, there was a perfume in it. I cried out of joy. Someone like me now has a perfume… I couldn’t believe it”.

We usually rely very heavily on financial donations made at our Mother’s Day Lunch which couldn’t go ahead last year and we haven’t planned this year due to the uncertainty of the pandemic.
