Team,
Vaccinations are underway in the United States and around the world -- but people of color are once again facing glaring disparities when it comes to access to health care.
In the U.S., white people are getting vaccinated at twice the rate of their Black neighbors, who are twice as likely to die from COVID-19 -- even though a majority of Black Americans intend to get vaccinated.
Meanwhile, millions of Palestinians do not have access to vaccinations while neighboring Israelis do.
This is nothing short of a human rights violation.
Yet the U.S. is enabling the Israeli government's inaction by providing financial and military aid instead of demanding that they establish a vaccination program for Palestinians.
That's why Ilhan is joining her sister in service, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, alongside several progressive leaders and advocacy organizations to hold both U.S. governors and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken accountable in addressing these disparities.
Will you add your name next to Ilhan's to demand equitable vaccine distribution for people in the U.S., Palestinians, and people in vulnerable communities around the world?
