It's telling when even the Democrats' chief propaganda organ, the Boston Globe, has to call them out publicly for not only their distaste for open government, but for their disdain for their own constituents.
Over a month ago we told you about Beacon Hill's Democrat leadership team electing to hold discussions about their own history of non-transparency from behind closed doors, out of sight and out of mind.
Now, the Globe is beginning to poke around, and the Democrats' response should tell you all you need to know not only about how they view themselves, but what they think about you:
Just so we're clear, Rep. Peake and the rest of the Democrats controlling Beacon Hill don't want you to know what they're up to because they don't think you should trusted to understand it.
And that's the point, to keep you in the dark and them in office.
