Let's be clear: This is a deliberate attempt to undermine our democracy by making it harder to vote. That's why passing the For the People Act is so important, and why every one of us needs to keep up the fight. Our future depends on it.

Barack Obama is spot on.

Republicans have introduced a whopping 361 voter suppression bills in 47 states. Texas, Georgia, and Arizona are leading the way with dozens of restrictive measures, and it’s no coincidence that these bills cropped up right after Trump’s historic defeat. 🙄

But we will add one important point: Pushing back on these terrible bills is not enough. We need to DEFEAT Republicans at the ballot box every chance we get -- including in the upcoming midterm election.
