This is a big deal: Last week, President Biden announced his American Jobs Plan, which would make historic investments to improve our country’s infrastructure, build back our economy, and combat the climate crisis.

The Biden Administration is focused on creating a better future for all Americans.

As Chairman of the Senate's infrastructure and environment committee, I know that investing in our infrastructure can curb climate change, create jobs, and break down barriers to deliver justice for marginalized communities and communities of color.

President Biden’s American Jobs Plan is a bold vision that meets the moment we’re facing as a country. 

The American Jobs Plan will: 

• Improve our country’s roads, bridges, and water systems to ensure that all Americans have access to safe, reliable transportation and clean drinking water
• Reduce carbon emissions to protect our environment
• Create good-paying jobs for the American people to strengthen our economy and ensure that we can compete and win in the 21st-century global economy  

President Biden’s plan would fulfill his promise of building half a million electric charging stations to help achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. I recently introduced a bipartisan plan that would work hand in hand with Biden’s, expanding business tax credits to encourage investment in clean vehicle charging infrastructure.

This is what’s possible when we have a president and a Congress that work together to deliver progress for the American people.
