John,
Last month, we asked you: what part of the political process do you find confusing and want to understand more about?
We finally got some time to look at the survey in-depth and analyze some of your answers, and here are a few things we’ve found:
- Many of you are curious about the influence of corruption in politics. Over 77% of survey takers wanted to know more about the influence of corporate PACs and lobbies like Big Pharma.
- Survey takers were also interested in learning more about fundraising and how that works. We’ve shared with you in the past a little bit about our fundraising at Truth to Power, so we’re excited to unpack this a bit more in the future.
- Gerrymandering—and how it relates to voter suppression—was another common point of interest. While this wasn’t an option on our survey itself, many folks added this in as another topic they wanted to learn more about. We can touch upon this, too!
If you took the survey, thank you for your time and insight into what you want to know more about. Here at Truth to Power, we’re ready to break it down to help folks from all backgrounds better understand—and get more involved—in our political process.
And whether or not you were able to take the survey, thank you for being a part of this grassroots team, and for believing in creating a better, more just future for our political system.
More soon,
Team Truth to Power
