FIRST: Jennifer Carroll Foy announced her candidacy and immediately national media, pundits, and Democrats noticed…
THEN: Polling showed that Jennifer is the candidate Virginians want to vote for in this election -- and with the right resources, she will win the primary AND in November. When that happened, national and local influencers took notice:
- Endorsements of major organizations representing millions of working people such as Democracy for America, Virginia Justice Dems, Clean Virginia
-
Endorsed by MORE unions than any other candidate
-
Endorsed by dozens of Virginia elected officials, faith leaders, small business owners, and activists
-
Endorsed by Congresswoman Katie Porter AND Congresswoman Lauren Underwood
NOW: Jennifer was the clear winner in her first head-to-head match up with Terry McAuliffe!
This is officially a two person race between Jennifer Carroll Foy and Terry McAuliffe. A race between the status quo and the future.

Virginians know that Jennifer has walked in their shoes: she's someone who has worked the minimum wage, gone without healthcare, and been a working parent through this pandemic.
She’s one of two candidates with the resources to compete in the primary ($2.3 million cash on hand!!). And polling shows she has the upward momentum where McAuliffe has hit his ceiling of support. Donate now!

Jennifer Carroll Foy was born and raised in Petersburg. In 2017, she flipped a Republican district as a first-time candidate pregnant with twins. During her time as Delegate, Jennifer championed the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, helped expand Medicaid to 400,000 Virginians, and advocated for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable communities.
She has a career of public service and it started long before 2017. As a public defender, Jennifer helped give a voice to the often voiceless — children, people suffering from addiction, those experiencing homelessness, those with mental illness, and the poor.
Now she’s running to be the first woman elected Governor of Virginia and serve as the first Black woman to be governor nationwide.
Help her make history. Donate now.
