[2]National Nurses United

Last week, we officially kicked off our first Medicare for All Leadership
School with 45 volunteers who are taking their skills to the next level,
growing, and developing their confidence as organizers, and getting
prepared to lead the fight for Medicare for All in their communities.

These 45 volunteers span all ages and geographies like Louisville,
Kentucky, to Columbus, GA, to Chicago, IL, and include nurses and
non-nurses alike.

Say hello to (just some of!) our first cohort of students!

These volunteers will meet five hours per week for the next two months.
It’s a big commitment and key to our success as a movement.

The more people we have with a clear local plan of action fighting for
Medicare for All in their communities – the more quickly and effectively
we’ll win.

We have a new window of opportunity with the reintroduction of Medicare
for All in Congress and Democrats in control of the House, Senate, and
Presidency. In order to take advantage of this moment, we need to scale up
our on-the-ground organizing to push our leaders to pass Medicare for
All.

You’ll be hearing from this cohort of students about their progress, and
we’ll let you know when we’re kicking off the next cohort and how you can
apply to join.

We’re so grateful to this movement and all of the people like you who step
up everyday to make this work possible. Together we know we’ll win health
care for all.

With appreciation,
