Virginia made history yesterday by becoming the first Southern state in the US to legalize marijuana.

I am so proud of our Commonwealth for taking a crucial step forward in correcting the mistakes of the failed war on drugs. Legalizing marijuana in Virginia is an incredible feat, but it’s long past time we do the same at the federal level.
