SIGN OUR LETTER TO DONALD TRUMP:

Dear Donald Trump,

In February of 2018, you tweeted, "I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks."

Yet to this date, you have yet to support ANY background legislation that meaningfully tackles the core of the gun violence epidemic in America: it is far too easy to obtain a weapon.

Now, the NRA is running a full-court press on you to block gun violence prevention legislation following recent tragedies in El Paso and Dayton.

According to the New York Times, the chief executive of the NRA met with your administration and told you to "stop the games" with meaningful gun violence prevention legislation.

This isn't a game. Enough.

Our children and teachers should not be afraid to go to school.

American workers should not have to worry about whether or not they'll be coming home at night.

And no one should have to worry about a gunman breaking into their house of worship.

President Trump, it's time to stop listening to the NRA's commands and put the lives and safety of the American people first.
