However, the Montana GOP created penalties for municipalities with strict COVID-19 precautions and defeated Democrats’ plan to send $1,000 in direct payments to essential workers making less than $30,000 per year. This is a perfect example of the difference between our two parties -- Montana Democrats want to send funds to the people who are struggling while the GOP sends tax cuts to out-of-state corporations.
