Friend --
I want to take you back to one year ago today -- here are some headlines:
A year later, and we’ve put three stimulus checks in Americans’ pocketbooks. We’ve vaccinated more than 51 million Americans against COVID-19, with more being vaccinated every single day. We elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and we flipped the Senate.
Very soon -- as in, just a few days! -- every American over 18 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. We’ve turned a corner, but it was a long, long road to get here. This week is Public Health Week, and I wanted to highlight how far we’ve come along with the sacrifices, dedication, and hope from healthcare workers that helped paved the way to where we are today.
As more and more vaccines become available and more and more Americans qualify for vaccination, I wanted to make sure you know where to go to get a vaccine for yourself or a loved one. Vaccines.gov is your best resource to find out when you’re eligible, along with where and how to make an appointment -- check it out, and get vaccinated!
I can’t wait to be able to see so many of the people I love in person again soon, and I hope you’re excited too. We have to stay vigilant for just a bit longer by masking up and limiting our gatherings, but soon -- very soon! -- we’ll be able to gather together, finally.
Sincerely,
Chuck Schumer
