For me, the lessons of teamwork were instilled the most during my time in the Army. I experienced firsthand just how important it was to have help from my fellow soldiers at the moment I became a double amputee when a bomb planted by radical Islamic terrorists exploded beneath me.
It was only thanks to my team’s quick action, and the grace of God, that I’m even alive and writing this email to you today.
