The New York Times just reported three crucial facts about Georgia’s radical new voter suppression law.
FACT #1: The law SLASHES the number of polling places in blue cities by nearly 75%.
Vote-by-mail has been a lifeline for millions of Georgians and Americans during a pandemic.
Now, Republicans want to stop us from EVER using it again.
FACT #2: The law BANS giving food or water to voters waiting in line to vote.
Blue counties in Georgia already have much longer lines than red ones.
Now, Georgia Republicans want to force voters to choose between a drink of water and their vote.
FACT #3: Republicans only passed this law after the state went blue for the first time in decades.
This law is nothing more than an attempt by sore losers to rig the game in their favor.
Republicans had no problems with their state’s voting laws when they could count on winning Georgia with ease.
Now, they’re desperate to make sure Georgia NEVER turns blue again.
