Frank was proud to support the American Rescue Plan law to get shots in arms and get our region and nation past this health pandemic, and he believes we must build on this success with the American Jobs Plan proposed by President Biden last week. 

The American Jobs Plan makes direct investments for national, regional, and local infrastructure programs. When implemented, it will create millions of good-paying jobs across the country.

President Biden’s infrastructure plan is good news for workers and their families in Northwest Indiana.

A core element of the American Jobs Plan is revitalizing manufacturing, securing U.S. supply chains, increasing investments in research and development, and training people in our communities for future jobs.

U.S. manufacturing was the Arsenal of Democracy in World War II. It must be part of the Arsenal of Prosperity today, helping fuel an economic recovery for working families in our communities.   

President Biden and Frank believe that America must keep well-paid union jobs, creating more of them in Indiana and across the country. 

Building on top of that foundation, the Plan focuses on creating good-quality jobs that pay prevailing wages in safe workplaces. Simultaneously, it ensures workers can organize, join a union, and bargain collectively with their employers.   

Additionally, passing the American Jobs Plan will mean tens of millions of dollars coming to Indiana to fix our highways, rebuild bridges, and make significant upgrades to our rail system. 

Millions of American workers will directly benefit from President Biden’s American Jobs Plan. Our communities will be better off from this massive investment in our regional infrastructure, the first of its kind in more than six decades.
