Dear John,

While this Legislative session may be unlike anything we’ve ever seen, one thing remains constant: Texas Freedom Network’s commitment to building, empowering and training the next generation of Texas leaders.

Make a gift today to support Texas Rising Action

Last weekend, we kicked off our first-ever Texas Rising Action Advocacy Week. More than 70 young activists from across the state gathered virtually for a day-long intensive training to prepare for the week ahead. In addition to hearing from keynote speakers, Rep. Mary Gonzalez (HD 75) and Rep. Art Fierro (HD 79), they reviewed a number of good and bad bills; they wrote and practiced personal testimonies; and they learned the ins and outs on how to run a legislative visit. All this to prepare to speak truth to power!

Over this last week, Texas Rising Action activists have met virtually with a number of legislators to advocate for progressive legislation and issues that directly impact the lives of young people in Texas. From LGBTQ equality, reproductive rights, voting rights, climate justice, and criminal justice reform, these young leaders are working to advocate for the issues and values that mean so much to them. They are also committed to holding our elected officials accountable.

None of this would have been possible without you. And we need you to continue supporting our work to build power for the rising generation.

Please consider making a gift to support our Texas Rising Action program today. Your generosity and participation will make a world of difference on our young leaders and their vision of a more progressive Texas. Whether you make a one-time donation or a monthly commitment, your generosity will have a huge impact.

Thank you!

Onward,

Osmara Santana
