Reimagining Work in a Green Economy

The Green New Deal (GND) is a chance to reimagine our current, dysfunctional approach to labor. If we are serious about building a viable and sustainable future, we desperately need teachers, caregivers, social workers, community organizers, farmers, food workers, retrofitters, conservationists, builders, and others to repair our broken infrastructure and communities. Join the Atlanta DSA in Little Five Points to ask people in the neighborhood to help pass the PRO act! Upcoming May Day action - what would you like to see?

May 1 is traditionally celebrated as a day of labor solidarity around the world to honor the anniversary of the 1886 Haymarket Massacre, a history that our chapter would like to commemorate via a chapter-wide public action in support of the PRO Act to carry on the legacy of fighting for workers' rights.

May 1 conveniently falls on a Saturday this year, so if you have any ideas of where or how to coordinate this action, feel free to brainstorm and reach out to the Labor or Electoral committees! Let's show up and show out for May Day!
