A new heritage project [ [link removed] ] celebrating the history of The Promenade, Robin Hood Terrace and Campbell Grove ? a distinctive and popular district of Nottingham ? will be launched with a free online event on *Thursday 15th April 6.30-8pm*
On the 100th anniversary of the 1919 Addison Act, which paved the way for large-scale council housing, Nottingham City Homes completed a programme of refurbishment to 16 listed council houses on The Promenade, Robin Hood Terrace and Campbell Grove. This sparked a renewed interest in the history of this area and a successful bid was made via the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a project that celebrated the history of these houses.
The launch event will include the sharing of a free heritage report, a brief illustrated history talk with historian Chris Matthews, and an oral history sharing activity with Helen Foster from the East Midlands Oral History Archive.

Following the launch a number of other events are planned as part of the project, including:
* Oral history training & recording days (various dates in May)
* A historic buildings tour (5th June)
* A house history workshop (7th July)
* A celebration as the project comes to a close (11th September)
