Ari Berman tweet: "The country's top vote suppressors:

"Lawmakers in Texas (49 bills), Georgia (25 bills), and Arizona (23 bills) have introduced the largest number of restrictive measures this year."

Here are the facts, John:

– Texas, Georgia, and Arizona have introduced nearly 100 voter suppression bills between them.
– Georgia has already passed a law that takes control away from local election officials, limits the use of ballot drop boxes, and more.
– Now the Texas Senate has passed a package that "bans extended voting hours, prohibits drive-thru voting, closes polling places in minority neighborhoods, and allows partisan poll watchers to record voters who receive help filling out their ballots."

Republicans think the American people don't care about restrictive bills like these. We need to prove them wrong. Will you pitch in now to show them that we'll fight with everything we have?

It's extremely clear that Republicans think the only way they can win elections is by limiting the number of people who vote. But that's not all -- voter suppression works hand in hand with gerrymandering to keep our democracy from functioning as it should.

It's no coincidence that many of the state legislatures pushing voter suppression bills, including in Georgia and Texas, were gerrymandered to give Republicans outsized power. That’s why we must fight gerrymandering AND voter suppression if we want to restore our democracy to what it should be.

That's exactly what we do at the NDRC -- we fight a multi-pronged battle against Republicans' anti-democratic practices. And we need YOU with us. Will you pitch in now?

Since 2017, the NDRC has executed a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. Our victories have been made possible by our strong community of grassroots supporters.
