New polling shows likely voters support President Biden's $2.25 trillion
American Jobs Plan by huge margins -- even Republican voters. So why are a
few Democratic senators carrying Mitch McConnell's water and demanding big
changes?

[ [link removed] ]JOIN THOUSANDS WHO'VE SIGNED ON: "Democrats, stand strong on taxing the
rich and investing trillions of dollars in clean-energy and infrastructure
jobs. If anything, go bigger -- don't water down urgent priorities."

The more grassroots support Dems see for boldness here, the more confident
they'll be standing firm -- and pushing to expand the plan even further.

The Data for Progress poll released yesterday shows 73% of likely voters
support the American Jobs Act overall. Only 21% oppose.

Republican voters support the plan 57% to 38%.

And while some questioned including the so-called "care economy" in this
bill, likely voters support that part of the plan even more than the parts
dealing with American manufacturing and housing!

The Hill reported our take on the plan when President Biden announced it
on Friday: "As an infrastructure plan, it's a home run. As a climate
policy, it's a really significant step, and hopefully there are more steps
to come" to meet the urgency of the moment.

With this new polling it is clear that Americans are on board -- even
Republicans. What remains is for Senators to get out of the way and pass
the plan that will create millions of good-paying jobs, make massive
investments in clean energy, and make huge steps toward addressing racial
inequities.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
