"Climate Week" was nothing short of amazing. Green America celebrated one amazing victory after the next for our work to get the telecom industry to “Hang up on Fossil Fuels!” 

T-Mobile announced it reached 95% clean energy and it was well on its way to meeting its 100% commitment by 2021. Congratulations! 

Sprint is moving to 30% and AT&T has reached 50% clean energy.  

These are incredible victories and are thanks to our work together! 
Consumer pressure was essential in getting telecoms to go from using almost no renewable energy to using enough to power a city the size of San Fransisco. 

But once again, Verizon is lagging in making contracts for clean energy.  It is still using about 2% renewables. And that is not acceptable!

Green America was really hoping Verizon would have an announcement last week, to follow up its promise to switch to renewable energy… 

… But so far Verizon’s commitment to get to 50% renewables by 2025 is more like an empty promise. 

And we have had enough!
It's time to turn up the heat on our campaign against Verizon.   

We’ll use social media, press coverage, and consumer activism to get Verizon to sign contracts for renewable energy now and increase their commitment to 100% renewables by 2025. 

This is going to be a hard-fought campaign, but we know we will get Verizon to step up with your support.
