Hi John,
Did somebody say “mobile”? After deploying Text-To-Take-Action last month, I’m excited to announce another round of mobile messaging improvements that went up today. As a reminder, mobile messaging is an add-on to the Action Network toolset. You can sign up for a demo of the Action Network mobile tool or sign up here to get started using it.
Send images in your mobile messages with MMS
Sunny says hello!
You can finally send that dog gif to your full mobile list! Not only do we support sending images via mobile messaging, you can also test two or three different images and send your best to the full list. It works exactly like subject testing for email.
Build your mobile list with opt-ins from ActBlue
If you have the updated ActBlue sync set up (you had to reach out to ActBlue to ask for webhooks), we will now automatically sync over any new mobile opt-ins from ActBlue to your Action Network mobile list. So when someone donates, gives their mobile number, and opts in to mobile messages, that info will be in your Action Network group, and you can send them mobile messages without any annoying manual steps.
If you don’t have the updated sync set up, click here to figure out how. It’s a huge upgrade!
Other updates worth noting:
-
More horsepower for uploads so they’ll process faster.
-
Default mobile message text you can set on the group level — great for prefixes and stop2quit language you include in every send.
-
New integration with CallHub's FastClick Dialer, a TCPA and FCC complaint dialer for mobile phones and landlines.
-
New integration with DonorBox, a fundraising tool.
We hope you enjoy these new updates! Have a question or comment? Feel free to reply to this email, and I’ll get right back to you. As always, you can review our release notes here.
Take care,
