The Republican megadonor that Donald Trump hand-picked to serve as Postmaster General is still on the job -- and it seems he's still hell-bent on running the U.S. Postal Service into the ground.
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy just announced a new 10-year strategic plan for the Postal Service that the Washington Post called "the largest rollback of consumer mail services in a generation."
Amidst an ongoing slowdown of delivery times across the country, DeJoy's plan will further delay mail deliveries, reduce hours at our post offices, and increase postage prices.
DeJoy spent 2020 attacking the postal service and working to undermine its critical services in the middle of an election year that relied heavily on mail-in ballots. We cannot allow him to continue running the USPS into the ground.
President Biden has nominated new members to the USPS Board of Governors who can rein in and remove DeJoy -- but the Senate has yet to act on these nominations.
