Team — I’m cutting right to the chase because we don’t have a moment to waste. As arguments over the future of the DACA program head to the Supreme Court on Nov. 12, DACA recipients need our help today to renew critical protections. If you can chip in today to the DACA Renewal Fund, please do so by clicking here.
Every two years DACA recipients have to come up with $495 in order to renew their protection from deportation — to remain in their homes and with their families. Every day, the list of young, undocumented immigrants who need financial assistance grows longer and longer. The good news is that every dollar in the DACA Renewal Fund goes towards a DACA recipient in need. So, I’m asking:
Will you make a contribution of any amount to the DACA Renewal Fund? These young people are depending on us in order to keep their protections. Recipients rely on DACA to go to school, get a driver's license, and keep their jobs. Donate any amount today to support DACA recipients in financial need:
SPONSOR A DACA RECIPIENT ($495)
SPONSOR TWO DACA RECIPIENTS ($990)
Or, make a donation of $7 or any other amount
In 2017, Donald Trump took bigoted, inhumane steps to go after Black and brown youth and their families by announcing the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. This policy has been contested through the courts, and in November the Supreme Court will hear arguments for and against Trump’s decision.
It may be months or even years until we get a final decision on the fate of DACA. So, in the meantime, it's critical we do everything we can to help as many DACA recipients as possible renew their protections from deportation and remain in their communities and with their families.
Chip in $7 or more today if you’re able to contribute to the DACA Renewal Fund »
Thanks for joining United We Dream and I in this fight.
