First: Stacey Abrams and voting activists across Georgia worked to organize their communities, flipping Georgia from red to blue and delivering both presidential AND senate wins for Democrats!

Then: After record turnout from Black and brown communities, Georgia Republicans responded by pushing through a racist, extremist voter suppression bill limiting early voting and vote-by-mail – and even making it illegal to provide water to voters waiting in line to cast their ballot. Georgia’s election restrictions are already being compared to Jim Crow-era restrictions.

Now: Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed a NINETY-EIGHT PAGE voter suppression bill into law behind closed doors, making Georgia the first presidential battleground to impose new voting restrictions following President Joe Biden's victory.
