Thank you, John.
I know I’ve asked a lot of you over the last couple weeks but because of your contributions, we were able to meet our fundraising goals.
We have a long way to go until November 2020, but this team continues to show North Carolina the strength of our movement and its true grassroots character.
Over the last two and a half years we’ve made great progress together. We’ve expanded women’s healthcare across the state, protected the rights of our most vulnerable citizens, and put forward an ambitious pro-growth economic plan that’s going to expand and protect the middle class right here in North Carolina.
We stood together in difficult moments, too. Hurricanes and natural disasters tested our resolve over the last few years, but we stood firm, and will rebuild stronger and smarter than before.
And John, I couldn’t have done it without you at my side. But as the 2020 election cycle starts to ramp up, my right-wing opponents are going to start using every trick in the book to try and stop the progress we’ve made together.
No matter how they try to discredit our movement, I know I have the backing of incredible grassroots supporters like you, John.
My promise to you will never change - I’ll continue to keep working for the rights and progress of all North Carolinians. And I’ll do it knowing I have you at my back.
