Dear John,
A new book about John Stuart Mill, an English philosopher and economist, spotlights his views on liberty, individualism and women’s rights.
Considered one of the greatest English-speaking philosophers and political economists of all time, Mill published one of his most influential books On Liberty in 1859, which advocated for choice and liberty of thought and association.
He’d go on to write other influential works, and later served as a Member of Parliament in Britain where he was known as a reformer who fought against government paternalism.
You can download the complete book – for free! – and view several short videos summarizing key points of individual chapters at www.EssentialJSMill.org.
Sincerely,
